State-of-the-art Sleep Testing

The HealthPartners Sleep Health Center is accredited through the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).  AASM accreditation is the gold standard by which the medical community and the public evaluate sleep centers.

Your care and testing is provided by our team of certified sleep physicians, registered sleep technologists, respiratory therapists and home medical equipment providers.  We use a variety of sophisticated tests to evaluate for sleep disorders and recommend a personalized course of treatment.  Oftentimes, an overnight stay is required to conduct sleep testing.

Common Sleep Tests:

Polysomnogram
- This test records your physical state during various stages of sleep and wakefulness, including your brain waves, oxygen saturation, airflow and more.

Multiple sleep latency test (MSLT) - This test measures how long it takes to fall asleep and monitors your sleep patterns through a series of naps.

Maintenance of wakefulness test (MWT) - This test is performed to assess a person's ability to stay awake during a time when they are sitting quietly.
